Scrivox requires an internet connection for voice recognition. Your speech is processed on high-performance cloud servers to achieve 95-98% accuracy — something that isn't yet possible locally on consumer hardware. Audio is processed in real-time and never stored.
What microphone do I need?
Any microphone works — built-in laptop mic, USB microphone, or headset. For the best accuracy, we recommend a headset with noise cancellation. No special equipment is required.
Which applications does it work with?
All of them. Scrivox acts as a virtual keyboard — it types text wherever your cursor is. Word, Google Docs, Outlook, Chrome, Firefox, CRM systems, medical software, chat apps — if you can type in it, Scrivox can dictate into it.

How does Scrivox handle privacy?

Yes. Say 'period', 'comma', 'question mark', 'new line', or 'new paragraph' and Scrivox will insert the correct punctuation automatically.
What languages are supported?
Scrivox supports English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, and many more. You can switch languages in the app settings without reinstalling.
Can I change the activation hotkey?
Absolutely. The default is Ctrl+F11, but you can set any key combination in the Settings menu.
What are the system requirements?
Minimum: 2 CPU cores, 4 GB RAM, 2 GB disk space, internet connection. Supported OS: Windows 10/11 (64-bit), Linux (Ubuntu 20.04+, Debian 11+, Fedora 35+, Arch Linux).
